PROMOTING POSITIVE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
Youth exposed to significant stressors--such as poverty, community violence, and maltreatment--are at greater risk for a number of mental health problems. Our work involves several related lines of research designed to promote positive socio-emotional outcomes in stress-exposed youth, with the ultimate goal of reducing the disparities in risk for psychopathology that arise in traditionally underserved populations of youth.
